Billing Clerk
Colleton Software currently has an immediate opening for a billing clerk to become part of our team in the Walterboro, SC. office. This opening is available for immediate hire. Colleton Software offers a very competitive salary with bonus opportunity. Salary increases are presented base on merit and reviews. Flexible work schedule available in some cases. Billing Clerks Daily Duties

The Billing Clerk position requires the employee to perform all daily duties that are assigned to them by the Office Manager. These duties are not limited to and include the following tasks:

•    Process calls
•    Print bills (prepare for the mail)
•    Respond to emails
•    Return patient calls
•    Post payments
•    Work denials
•    Work pending
•    Return mail
•    Attorney follow-ups and request
•    Scan documents (so that we have everything on file)
•    Researches additional information (checks eligibility with Medicaid and Passport Health)
•    Runs daily reports (that are to be turned in to the Office Manager)
•    Reviews documentation on forms such as PCS (physicians certification statement) and signatures
•    Stays in touch with cliental to make sure we are receiving all calls and see if they need any additional information.
•    Files insurance claims electronically and on paper to insurance companies
•    Stays HIPPA compliant with rules and regulations
